Welcome to the castle RESTORATION where we invite you to ‘be a part of it’!
By staying with us, you are directly supporting the renovation and preservation of precious heritage in this part of the English Riviera, Devonshire.
Down a woodland drive you will find your comfy, cosy and enchanting Annexe retreat, lovingly refurbished by the current custodians.
As much as we love dogs we are sorry that due to white furniture we are unable to accept pets.
The space
This cosy, comfy and enchanting annexe provides one bedroom super-king or twin bed sleeping in the perfect little hideaway for getting away from it all.
One reserved parking space behind a gated entrace.

The castle estate is entirely non-smoking.
We are a historic restoration project within a tranquil castle courtyard setting which is also home to residents.
Guest access
When staying at The Annexe you are welcome to sit outside the front of The Annexe however, please note that this area is passed by tenants accessing the courtyard.
To protect tenants privacy there is no access to the courtyard, castle or grounds.
Guests will be provided with the gate code and an allocated parking space.

Other things to note
Dedicated to adults only, The Annexe offers ground floor accommodation for up to two guests.
Free parking is allocated to you for the duration of your stay.

During the refurbishment we followed recommendations to consciously consider best environmental practice by:
- Fully insulating from floor to ceiling to maintain warmth throughout the year.
- Installing underfloor heating to created ambient, cosy accommodation through winter months.
- Fitting power showers which offer a lighter flow than you might find at home without compromising on comfort or warmth.
All of the above are provided through renewable energy via our energy supplier.
Please note, we are RENOVATIO! The castle is a restoration project and undergoing upgrade. We are not anticipating noise or any inconvenience to the Annexe area.

The host was friendly and responsive and very keen to make us feel comfortable and at home, which we did. It was very private and quiet and in a lovely part of Torquay, with fascinating history nearby in St Marychurch as well as other attractions and shops within walking distance. Highly recommend!

It was perfect for my quiet getaway.
The accommodation is simply gorgeous - with its fabulous decor, it was so clean & tidy with plenty of extra touches to make my stay just wonderful.
A fabulous, large & comfortable bed and big, fluffy towels added to the feeling of luxury.
The location is amazing - private & peaceful, yet still close enough to local amenities, just a short walk away.
All communication was dealt with so promptly; the host was so well informed & able to answer all my queries.
I'll definitely be choosing to stay here again - highly recommended!

The accommodation is warm and comfortable with good quality fixtures and fittings including a fully functioning kitchen. There were thoughtful additions such as milk in the fridge, a sachet of ground coffee and small soaps in the bathroom. The location was ideal for us, with amenities close by and a short walk to Babbacombe downs with its spectacular views across the bay. The accommodation is down a quiet road in the grounds of the castle. I had a good feeling as soon as I got there. The rooms were lovely clean and well serviced and we were also greeted with a lovely welcome pack. All of the team involved were fabulous and we would certainly recommend and will be staying there again.
