Incredible room, beautiful building. Fantastic hosts. Breakfast and home-baked bread were amazing. Would definitely stay again.

It felt like stepping back in time with real old world charm. So much to see and explore in a place filled with history. We stayed in the back tower room which was huge and filled with beautiful antiques with a private bathroom just outside the room. John had so many stories to share about the Tower and the area which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was incredible. Located only 20 mins from Chester too with so much in the area to explore.

A great central location, to visit inland, close to Ruthin Castle, Chester, Llangollen, Betws-y-Coed. My wife and I, stayed in The Back Tower Room, which I may add was spectacular. The king size bed was very comfy and we had a really good sleep. A great 15 foot tall, stone bay window, with beautifully draped curtains, gave a stunning view of the rear gardens. The room was very clean and included a large TV, period furniture, small fridge, kettle, tea & coffee. John, kindly, brought us fresh milk to put in the fridge. There is a beautiful drawing room/library, which can be used if you require a relaxing read. An impressive dining room with a large banquet table, was a luxury to be served our breakfast on. The owners, John and Steph made a delicious Welsh breakfast, which really, set us up for the day. John was happy to talk about and give the Tower's history. Thank you John & Steph for a perfect, special stay.
Elaine | 7 years on Airbnb | None | 5 | April 2023 | A rare find. A beautiful home in peaceful surroundings. Full of antiques but with modern amenities - the best shower and most comfortable bed I have had in a while! John was the perfect host, friendly and helpful. I appreciated the extra touches such as wine glasses & fresh milk in the fridge. Would definitely stay there again.
Andrew | 7 years on Airbnb | None | 5 | April 2023 | HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We really enjoyed our stay at this historical gem. Our hosts John and Steph were warm and welcoming, and made us a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. The rooms are stunning, full of historically in keeping furniture with tasteful touches of contemporary amenities (mini fridge and kettle in the room were very handy). We stayed in the back tower room and found it warm, clean and comfortable. John kindly told us wonderful stories about the house and its history. We can’t wait to come back.
Simon | 2 years on Airbnb | None | 5 | February 2023 | You don’t find many gems like this. A great stay - also John cooked us perfect breakfasts and we ate in the medieval banquet hall.
Volodymyr | 8 years on Airbnb | None | 5 | August 2022 | We have in this beautiful place for a weekend. It has incredible character, spotlessly clean and have a real “stay at home” feeling. John even provided a cooked breakfast which saved us from hassle to worry about it. John is a perfect host, very friendly and knowledgeable about area. Tower is perfectly located to explore north of Wales while still enjoying relaxing atmosphere and nice dinner in nearby town of Mold. I would highly recommend the place!

This was our last stop on a 6 week Europe and Uk trip, and it was an amazing way to finish our trip. Delicious breakfasts, beautiful rooms with so much history, lovely fields to walk in, nearby drives to castles and cute towns…but the best day we had was just hanging out, reading books, and walking the property. It was so restorative! And I just loved all the history of the place. Staying here is truly a treat. And we want to come back to Wales! So much to explore there. Thank you again John and Steph for such a wonderful stay!
