The very newly renovated Beaufront Castle sits high above the market towns of Hexham and Corbridge with far reaching, stunning views across theTyne Valley.
The Castle was acquired by the Cuthbert family in the early 19th century when the present, imposing castellated Gothic revival style mansion was built. This incorporates parts of the 17th-century house and Pele Tower recorded in 1415.
The space
Every room offers vast comfortable spaces, from the grand Drawing Room with huge windows and stunning views of the valley below to the stained glass stairway with gothic stone work and the incredibly spacious and unique bedrooms. The grand inner hallway provides both a dining space and Billiards table for post dinner competitions!
The large well-equipped kitchen and breakfast room offer space for you to prepare celebratory meals or for a caterer to work, with the magnificent grounds providing further peace to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The Castle offers 8 bedrooms sleeping unto 16 guests and 6 bathrooms. Please be aware the property consists of half of the castle, the owner occupies the other half.

It was so much bigger than the photos, all the rooms and living areas were grand, well decorated with attention to detail (like a whole box of playing cards). We had 15 of us staying, and even though we had stormy weather the castle stayed surprisingly warm, as well as being full of ways to keep yourself amused. A great place to take a big group of friends or family, to both have amazing time together, yet also if you wanted to take yourself off peace and quiet. It was such an amazing experience staying in an epic castle with all our friends. The hosts have been very hospitable and responsive when matters needed attending, for example some plumbing issues with the toilet. It’s a huge estate and all the rooms are super big, Felt like a Bridgeton movie set! All rooms have been newly renovated and very clean. We also enjoyed stargazing over the fields and even got to experience Northern lights on our 2nd night. Definitely book if you’re in a large group! Jude & Kevin |
