At a glance
The house is very well located with easy access on foot to all the amenities that Conwy has to offer. There is a good selection of independent shops and restaurants. The stunning castle and estuary views are just a 5 minute walk from the house. Conwy is a perfect base to explore North Wales and Snowdonia National Park. Bodnant Gardens, a flagship RHS garden, is a 15 minute drive away as is the beautiful Victorian town of Llandudno with its impressive promenade.
The space
This is a town house with four good sized bedrooms, a small galley kitchen, a separate breakfast room and sitting room. The house is arranged on ground, first and second floors. The first floor has two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. The top floor has two single beds which is accessed via a steep staircase. It is perfect for both children and adults but probably not for those with limited mobility.
The house has an open fire in the sitting room. Ideal for those cold days when you wish to stay indoors and watch a film.
There is a small back yard next to the galley kitchen. This leads to a separate lean to which houses a separate modern WC and sink, as well as a washing machine.
There is a small front garden, where you could sit outside. There are six chairs kept in the rear outside lean to building.
Guest access
The whole house is at your disposal and there is no communal sharing.
Other things to note
If you wish to do a lot of cooking this house is probably not for you as there is not a lot of worktop space. It is a galley kitchen with a gas cooker, oven and grill. There is a fridge, microwave toaster and kettle.

The host was very helpful with all queries and communications answering very quickly. The instructions and house descriptions were accurate. We were able to park in a nearby side street 5 minutes walk away and left the car there. The house was warm and cosy and beds very comfortable. Although the kitchen is small it was completely adequate and well equipped. The stairs to the loft room are very steep but we knew this on booking. Everywhere was clean and lots of fluffy towels for all 5 guests. For a town centre location within the towns castle walks it was so quiet. We went for a men’s short break. The Roebuck pub literally on the doorstep is a great traditional old pub. A good range of cask beers and at cheap prices. The Tapps is a new venue dedicated to craft beers and again is right in the town. For a great breakfast or lunchtime snack the Cantin by the library is brilliant. If you like a good curry with great service then try Spice Safari. | |||

We didn't have any problems finding a space. We enjoyed our stay. Worth noting that the washing machine is in a small out building in the back yard. The same building also has a toilet which is handy if the bathroom in the house is occupied. The shower was fine although not especially powerful. There was a sign saying there was a fire extinguisher under the stairs although the door to that space was padlocked. I'm sure if I'd queried it a key would have been made available. Apps available on Smart TV through which you can watch programmes live or on demand. We tried to get a signal using the portable aerial provided but the channel guide wasn't picking up any signal. We visited Zip World in Penrhyn Quarry and Snowdonia Donkeys both of which are 25-30 minutes drive away. All in all a pleasant stay in the heart of Conwy. | |||
