Craigston Castle was built by my family in 1604. This Grade A listed building is still our family home and we only rent it 12 weeks a year (usually May to October). At Craigston, each room is unique with much of the original furniture still in situ. You will love relaxing in the drawing room and sleeping in original four poster-beds. We can support organising activities, like clay pigeon shooting, archery, whisky tasting ... Prices vary dependent on period. Please ask!
The space
Enjoy access to almost all of the castle with 6 bedrooms each beautifully decorated with period furniture, including some original four-poster beds. Each room has its own dedicated bathroom (2 are en-suite). The main reception rooms include the spacious drawing room with an open fire, anti drawing room; and Queen's room with satellite TV. The traditional kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances with plenty of storage room in the adjacent larder. Meals can be eaten either in the kitchen or in one of two dining rooms.
A beautiful library is available to visit, please just ask.
The 750 acres of castle grounds are exciting to explore, but also provide an atmosphere of privacy, peace and tranquillity. There are a number of lovely walks just outside the front door.
We can provide you with a list of trusted partners to organize activities indoor and outdoor like whisky tasting, professional massages, storytelling, clay pigeon shooting, archery, falconry sessions in the castle grounds.

Guest access
With exclusive use, you will have most of the castle to yourselves, however, we, or our good friend Elisabetta who lives in a self-contained flat in the south wing, will be on hand should you need anything.
Other things to note
Events, parties, celebrations are only allowed with the people staying in the castle. No external guests are allowed.
Wedding are strictly not allowed during your stay.
