This fascinating small castle is close to the River Tummel, where you can fish for trout in season, and is full of character with a view over the river to Schiehallion mountain. Down by the riverbank there is a bonfire site where you can gather fallen branches and sit around the camp fire of an evening with family and friends. The garden is unenclosed so, being close to the river, small children should be supervised at all times. Dogs should be supervised when outside. There is a lovely walk along the river to the first hydro electric dam built in Scotland in the 1930s.
The space
The house sleeps 8 in four bedrooms. On the ground floor, which is up some steps, there is a sitting room with sofas and easy chairs, TV and DVD player. Off this is the kitchen/dining room with all modern equipment. There is a twin bedroom with a shower/wet room adjacent with heated floor. On the first floor there is a small twin bedroom, a family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC, and there is the master bedroom in the tower, overlooking the river, with four-poster bed. Off this is a steep, narrow stairs (curtained off from the main room) to the top tower room which has twin beds and wonderful views from the windows.
Guest access
Whole house in private location but the garden is not fenced off. There is mown grass around the house and extending to the riverbank.

This is a wonderful area for walking, birdwatching, visiting historic sites, theatre, shopping and so much more.
