They are wonderful friendly, helpful and proactive hosts and helped us make the most of our stay. We enjoyed Bamburgh in November with bracing winds and bright chilly days and it was tremendous. The local restaurants, bars and shops covered all our needs for the time we were there and everywhere was friendly and of good quality. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and location.GraemeNovember 2024Thanks so much David for your kind review. Grace & I are delighted you enjoyed your stay.

With stunning views of the beach and Bamburgh castle from the snug to beautifully decorated interior. We absolutely loved staying at Eight Bells Cottage! Graeme and Grace are fantastic hosts, leaving clear instructions by air b&b chat and a little folder in the cottage with everything we needed to know, including restaurants and some amazing walks. You can really tell the love and proud ownership of this home. The cottage itself is so cosy and super clean! It really felt like home away from home, we settled right in and struggled to decide where to retire for our evenings as everywhere was super snuggly. The pictures don’t do this place justice, we absolutely loved our time here and so sad that we had to come home. We will definitely be making it a habit to return to Eight Bells Cottage.GraemeNovember 2024Thanks so much Georgie for your kind review. Grace and I are delighted you enjoyed your stay.
Zoe7 months on AirbnbNone5October 2024Fabulous accommodation in a superb location. Eight Bells is cosy, charming, clean and well equipped. We loved the views from the snug and balcony upstairs!
Wonderful hosts. We were lucky enough to meet Graeme and Grace when we arrived- they made us feel so welcome, and it was clear to see how much they love this place.
The cottage is in a peaceful and quiet spot, yet only a few minutes walk from Bamburgh’s pubs, eateries etc and of course the castle and the beach!
We have visited Bamburgh many times and hope to return to Eight Bells again in the future.
GraemeOctober 2024Thank you very much Zoe and Simon for your kind review. Grace and I are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully see you again in the future.

Fantastically equipped with extras that were really appreciated.
GraemeSeptember 2024Thanks for the review Susan. Sorry you felt the information regarding the bathroom being on the ground floor wasn’t made clear enough in the description. Will review and amend where necessary.

Janine6 years on AirbnbNone5August 2024Eight Bells cottage was beautifully decorated, with a warm and cosy atmosphere. Graeme was very responsive and provided good information on the surrounding restaurants , walks etc. There was also a few welcome items which was unexpected but greatly appreciated . The location was brilliant being so close to the beach and playground. We all had a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Bamburgh and would recommend Eight Bells to family and friends.GraemeAugust 2024Thanks for your kind review Janine. Grace & I are delighted you enjoyed your stay. You’re naturally welcome back any time as proper 5 star guests.
Uwe3 years on AirbnbNone5August 2024great location and very nice hostGraemeAugust 2024Thanks Uwe, pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Samantha9 years on AirbnbNone5August 2024A beautiful cottage right in the centre of Bamburgh. Perfect for a family break a short walk from the beach, play area, ice cream parlour/restaurants all with a fantastic view of Bamburgh castle. Really thoughtful attention to detail for the guests including chocolate and wine on arrival, and milk, bread and butter in the kitchen. So handy having a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher with detergent provided. Baby cot and highchair provided on request - Graeme mistakenly took the high chair away with him but this was brought to the door within an hour of letting him know. Couldn’t really ask for more from a host!
I would add for anyone with mobility difficulties that there are a fair few steep stairs and the snug is up a tight spiral staircase. All adds to the character of the property, but something to be aware of if needed.
Thanks for a fantastic stay, Graeme and Grace!
GraemeAugust 2024Thanks for the kind review Sam. Pleased you and your lovely family enjoyed your stay.
