Woodcock Farm has 36 acres set on the Cotswold Way with sheep, pigs, horses, chickens and ducks. Within the farmland is an Iron Age hill fort that was subsequently occupied by the Romans and Anglo Saxons; so history is literally on the doorstep! Nearby is Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, Westonbirt, Chipping Sodbury & Cirencester. Located just 5 mins from J18 of M4, we are set in quiet, rolling countryside.
A recent refurbishment means you can now enjoy luxury accommodation with every home comfort.
The space
Woodcock Farm is a beautiful cotswold barn conversion, set in 36 acres of rolling countryside and woodland. You are free to walk and explore the land and farm and we'd be happy to introduce you to the animals who live here.
The flat has recently undergone a full renovation and how offers a super fully fitted kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso, fridge with freezer compartment and all cooking equipment. The bathroom too has been refitted with a bath and excellent overhead shower.
We provide Freeview TV and free wifi, (but please remember we are in the country so the speeds may not be as you are used to!).
Locally we have a wide selection of beautiful villages and towns which offer interesting independent shops, National Trust properties, great pubs and restaurants and wonderful walking. There are plenty of places of interest for all the family to visit within an easy drive - Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson's (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name a few. We'd be happy to help you with ideas for days out.
The Farm sits on an old Anglo-Saxon Hill Fort which was also used by the Romans. The Cotswold Way crosses the land and there are many really scenic walks all around. We can lend you maps and recommend pubs and stops along the way.
There is an extensive array of wildlife on the farm including hares, deer, badgers, hedgehogs, skylarks, wrens, and red kites.

There is also free parking on site.

We were close to areas such as bath and Bristol and used our days to visit these. The home was lovely and clean, with everything we needed, even a hot water bottle if we got cold and It was private even though there were other people staying in separate rentals. The floor was slightly thin so in the evenings could occasionally hear downstairs, they probably could hear us too! And we were looking forward to seeing the farm animals, however it wasn’t something that was available during our stay. We stayed at Chelsea for 3 days and then decided to head to the farms, it was a perfect spot to relax and get away from everything. Towns nearby about 20min away to grab food or snacks or dinner but the place was nicely hidden and private. Host was awesome, my 2 year old daughter got to hang out with the horses and feed the chickens and ducks. They have a place to take walk and just immerse yourself in the calming farmlife. The only thing I would say it’s a little hard to find the entrance at night as there are trees blocking the road and you have to stop right in the middle of the highway but other than that it was awesome! Great getaway for the family. | |||
