I had only a brief stay and was torn between enjoying the lovely views and exploring the many beautiful objects the house contains. It was my favorite place for those reasons, not to mention the warmth and helpfulness of Lucy and her family. It was fun to get out the maps and point out where I was from and engage their curiosity. The environment lends itself to walks and I even saw deer on the property. The dinner was very friendly and I was lucky enough to share their table with husband Anthony and their two children, Susanne and Freddie, for a moment that I won't forget right away. It's very beautiful. Next time I may stay here directly for three or four days, sitting outside every day. |
