It was perfect for our young family — the crib was a huge help, and the peaceful, quiet location made it easy to relax. Beautiful setting and a truly unique experience. Highly recommend for families with little ones!

The accommodation in the castle was amazing and in keeping with the age of the castle. The grounds were beautiful and we loved walking amongst them seeing all the birds and red squirrels! It was so peaceful and relaxing we can't wait to go back again.

Jennifer | 6 years on Airbnb | None | 5 | January 2025 | We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful old castle, the grounds even in winter were lovely. Very peaceful and walks right from the front door. Close to Dunblane, Stirling Castle and other historical sites.

Brianna | Clermont, Florida | None | 5 | December 2024 | It was a beautiful property. We enjoyed walking by the river and thru the gardens. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed!
Kate | Sierra Vista, Arizona | None | 5 | November 2024 | This stay was fantastic. Very close to Stirling, Dunblane proper, and Doune but tucked away for relaxing evenings. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed walking through the gardens in the mornings. The space was large and kitchen had all the cookery we needed. It is an older space so it does have its quirks but you are in a historical castle. We wished we could have stayed there longer.
Stacy | Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina | None | 5 | November 2024 | What a cool place to stay and experience what it was like living at a castle in the servant quarters. The bells were the icing on the cake! Comfortable and beautiful surroundings with the babbling brook.
Katie | 12 years on Airbnb | None | 4 | November 2024 | We were a family of 4 visiting for a week. The grounds were absolutely stunning. There are trails all around and a river right behind which provides a fantastic setting. The castle is almost equidistant from Edinburgh and Glasgow, about an hour drive. Easy drive to Stirling Castle, Briarlands Farm and Dunblane (go to HAVN bakery). There are other units in the castle but it was super quiet and we the other residents were lovely when we saw them. The house was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable and communication with the host was great. Basic bathroom and linens. The kitchen was lacking a bit, cheap pots/pans, virtually no spices, no food storage/foil/plastic wrap so cooking for a family was challenging. The host did let me borrow her soup pot which was nice. The only other issue was the dining table was too low so adults couldn't comfortably sit at the table without the table digging into thighs which was a pain. Overall, would recommend for a unique Scotland castle experience |
