I wasn’t disappointed. It would be great to have a full length mirror in the room as the ones at the sinks are quite high (I’m short) so also be great for somewhere to do hair etc. There’s no sink or mirror in the bathroom either probably because they are in the hallway area. Breakfast can be enjoyed either at the museum's cafe, which is also housed in the castle, or in a very nice cafe in the park, the Woodlands Centre. The town center is about a 10-minute walk away. The cafe on site is great for breakfast too. Would suggest stretching to an apartment as there aren’t many options for an evening meal in Stornoway of any great standard. | |||

Everyone was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. Some of the hall doors tend to slam if not closed softly which is an issue if people in nearby rooms are going in and out a lot late at night or early morning. It was a shame the stay was slightly tarnished by receiving an email halfway through our visit asking for additional costs not mentioned on Airbnb to be paid to them directly. The costs need to be clear and upfront, it also seems odd to ask for money directly after paying through Airbnb originally. | |||

It’s modernized like a boutique hotel Kristina the GM was absolutely amazing her attention to detail quick response to every question we had and need is the reason I love Airbnb. I cannot tell you how beautiful this place is a wonderful the people of this island, I told my wife I can’t believe we get to do things like this. So afordable so much fun it was just like the description said, and actually better than we could’ve imagined wanna say this one more time Kristina was amazing! service, the café, the museum, all top notch, great coffee, great ambience, and amazing garden. Thank you so much. |
