Not a posh place but very practical with really lovely bedrooms including huge master bedroom. Large kitchen and three lounge areas and very nice dining area. For us it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience Photos undersell the space/facilities | The space is excellent for 16+ inside and out. Superbly arranged bathrooms and a real adventure feel with generously equipped kitchen as well as crockery for special occasions. All levels are relatively easily accessible even for people with mobility problems. Whereas the adults enjoyed the walks around the castle our children (2-10) enjoyed the well attended gardens and lawns with football goals and toys/footballs. Fabulous amenities and accommodation. Just right for our group celebrating a 50th birthday. John and Sue have a fantastic castle. The owners are a joy to deal with. The castle is steeped in history and gives an almost magical impression set in stunning grounds - what is not to like? It is larger than life and does not disappoint.
