The living area has also got a quality sofa bed, allowing the apartment to accommodate up to 6 people. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Guests can enjoy the beautiful landscaped gardens, walks across the estate farmland and forest and even book to go horseriding at the equestrian centre.
The main castle building is a private family home and is generally not open to the public. Occasionally the castle is hired for private events.

Worth noting that here are other apartments so more people living there than I was expecting. There was also a teenage residential summer camp occupying the main castle during our stay which got quite noisy in the garden one evening. So be mindful that this isn’t the most quiet or secluded Airbnb. | |||

I'd encourage anyone who stays to explore the many lanes leading through pastures and woods. It's a fun property to wander. It's also conveniently located halfway between Belfast and Dublin, with easy access for both city and country day trips. As for the unit, the common area is roomy, with nice light. Especially appreciated were the large kitchen, and the clothes dryer which worked faster than almost any I've ever used. The bedrooms and baths are functional, though don't match the quality of the living area. This leads to my only caveat, which is that the unit is described as luxury. My experience was that, while nice, it doesn't yet achieve this designation. That said, I can recommend it, as long as one has flexible expectations, especially if you've rented luxury units in the past and maybe have a set idea of what that means. But, all in all, a good experience. | |||

The history of the place and beauty you are surrounded in is worth so much more than the price they charge. 2 1/2 bathrooms felt like luxury in itself! The grounds were stunning and my daughter had the time of her life running around playing with little Oreo and on the swings. If Marcus offers a tour of the castle be sure to take him up on it!
