The accommodation was very well equipped and clean. The views from all windows of the property were magical. The zip-line trampoline and swings were superb for our children. We were shocked when we drove up and parked our vehicle in the back of the castle. The first impression was a dirty white sheet wrapped around the terrace pillar. Then the trash thrown in a pile down a set stairs to what looked like a basement. When we entered the front door we saw a sign written in black marker warning occupants to keep the door closed to keep the dogs out. This door and the hallway door were being kept open by a fire extinguisher propped against them so they wouldn’t close. We reluctantly climbed the stairs and were met by a spider web that had been there a while. The window view was another shed filled with trash. When we got to the apartment door there was a folding bed right outside the door. The skylight window was nice but it was covered with flies. The wall with the radiator was peeling most likely from the heat. The bathroom with the tub would only be suitable if your were bathing a small child. The second bathroom was tiny and was only a half bath. The place might have been lovely in its prime but it was past its prime. As two seniors we didn’t feel safe. We left and found a hotel for the night so we could figure out what to do next. The host refunded the four days. We lost out on doing our laundry and the groceries were no good to us without a fridge and stove. So much for a relaxing visit. We took multiple pictures and asked VRBO about posting them.
