The space
Oliver Cromwell is a lovely bright, first floor apartment that was completely refurbished in February 2017, including a new kitchen, two new bathrooms and soft furnishings throughout. The apartment was restored from a paper mill to make spectacular accommodation with exposed stone walls and original beams. It is named after one of Sudeley’s most notorious figures, Oliver Cromwell, who ordered much of the destruction of Sudeley Castle towards the end of the English Civil War.
The accommodation is accessed by an external staircase and is arranged over two floors. The first floor comprises of an open-plan lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. For your entertainment, there is a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The apartment boasts views over the nearby river and cottage courtyard.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The double bedroom has a bathroom adjacent, with a large walk-in shower, washbasin and WC. The twin bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, with a washbasin, WC and bathtub with fixed overhead shower. Fluffy towels and bedding are provided for all guests.
Situated just a short walk from the beautiful Cotswold town of Winchcombe, guests will be spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do and see and places to eat while staying at one of Sudeley’s cottages! See ‘Local Amenities’ or the Winchcombe guidebook for more information.

Britt10 years on Airbnbhttps://a0.muscache.com/im/users/24236563/profile_pic/1417185752/original.jpg?im_w=2405January 2025We stayed as a small adult family of three and couldn't have loved the Oliver Cromwell apartment more.
It felt homely and inviting, and in such beautiful surroundings. Loved the Christmas tree with lights in our living room - it was a beautifully festive touch! Parking is easy, and it is a very short and easy stroll into the centre of Winchcombe.
The amenities in our apartment were fantastic, which made self-catering for some meals, so easy.
We enjoyed drinks and meals at both the White Hart, and the Corner Cupboard, but have to say the hospitality and quality of food served at the Corner Cupboard was an absolute winner!
Being January, we couldn't enjoy the complimentary access to Sudeley Castle, but we did manage to walk the park trails surrounding it, which were absolutely beautiful.
Thank you for a memorable stay!

Well equipped kitchen with all the basics covered. Spacious enough and comfortable furnishings
Plenty of parking - which is a plus
There are a few stairs both to get into the property and within the cabin itself, so if you have mobility issues this could be a problem
