The space
The Tower apartment is accessed from a small courtyard up original stone stairs, with its 'Stone Heads' - a feature around the castle which was designed by the artist Patrick Allen Fraser in the mid 19th century. It is slightly larger than the Garden Apartment with a bright living space/kitchenette overlooking the woodland and gardens. Original features are retained throughout and finished to a high standard. Comfortably sleeping 4, it has 2 bedrooms with the master boasting an ensuite WC and shower room and one further shower room.
Guest access
There are opportunities to tour the castle at the owners discretion if they are at home but cannot be guaranteed.
The majority of the gardens are available to visitors, with the front of the castle being reserved for the owners. There is also half a mile of fishing for guests to use, although they will be required to bring their own fishing tackle.
Other things to note
DIRECTIONS Located a few miles from Bridge of Cally on the A924, arriving guests should look out for a set of stone gate pillars with sleeping dogs on top and a gatehouse that signals the Blackcraig Castle entrance road. Following this they should proceed down the tree-lined driveway and over one of the few remaining Bridge Houses in Scotland. Access to the Apartments is the SECOND turn on the left after crossing the bridge house.
