Each sleeping four guests, they are ideal for couples or small families. Prince Arthur and Catherine, and Sir Henry Sidney are situated on the first floor, and each offer a king-size bedroom and a twin room. Comus is on the second floor and features a balcony.
Ludlow town offers guests a wide variety of things to do and sights to see, and with this apartment being set within the historic castle walls, you could not be closer to this beautiful medieval building. The castle hosts a number of events that run between April and November, including being a beautiful spot for weddings throughout the year. On-site there is a café/restaurant with an outside terrace where visitors can enjoy afternoon tea whilst admiring the scenery as well as our gift shop and a local gallery.
These apartments are set within the town of Ludlow, which offers guests a range of shops, bars and restaurants all within walking distance of the property. Ludlow is at the start of the Mortimer Trail, a long-distance path to Kington on the Herefordshire/Wales border and boast stunning views. There are also breath-taking walks and views of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Shop, pub and restaurant 110 yards.

We were expecting the renovation of the apartment to have been undertaken that we were advised when we rebooked immediately after our previous visit. This was disappointing but did not take away from the beautiful decor that remained in place. Customer service excellent. Toaster broke which fused sons of the other white goods in the kitchen. Brilliant location, amazing welcome (including great welcome pack), great to have dedicated car parking space and the apartment is really spacious with everything you could need for a short stay. Gaby	9 years on Airbnb	None	5	July 2024	We absolutely loved our stay at the Henry Sidney. It was located in the castle walls and had a fab view of the castle from most windows. We had free access to the castle and went several times during our stay. The staff at the castle were so welcoming and recommended lots to do in the area. The handy man on site was lovely and told me lots about the history of the area and different events that took place. The cottage was so well equipped! Taking a baby and a dog on holiday is always overwhelming but we appreciated the washing machine, dishwasher, ironing board and brilliantly stocked kitchen. We cooked loads whilst there and everything was so clean! We absolutely loved the location, being so close to the centre of Ludlow with its various markets. We also loved the welcome goodies from Broadbean Deli (the soda bread was delicious). We revisited the deli for a huge cinnamon bun. We already want to come back next year with the grandparents. Private car park right outside was an added bonus.Fantastic welcome hamper with local produce included freshly baked soda bread from the castle kitchen. Beautiful, clean, well equipped and spacious apartment , looking directly onto the castle and grounds. Free entry throughout stay . So impressed rebooked for November after the first night of our stay. Gillian was so friendly and helpful when met her as we were checking out. Gemma’s communication was outstanding . Messaged very swiftly before we’d even left Ludlow , to answer a few queries re our next visit ,including confirming the Christmas light switch on was happening on our next visit . Bonus ! A small winding path leads to double doors which then allows access to all the apartments. A turned staircase leads up to first floor apartments and Henry Sidney is to your left. Entrance hall has 2 bedrooms on your left and the living and kitchen space to your right. Both bedrooms are a good size and en-suite. The rooms were spotless and beds really comfortable. The double looks out onto the castle with a large window and the twin room has a window seat which overlooks the town and gives a great view of the church(excellent spot to sit and listen to church bells!)The lounge has a larger TV than shown in photo on website and 2 different sofas which are very comfy. Kitchen well equiped although we never actually cooked! Lounge and kitchen overlook castle. Complimentary access to the castle during stay. Probably time for updating but didnt detract from our stay. Great welcome hamper

Excellent base for exploring Ludlow and the surrounding area. Although in the centre of Ludlow it was quiet and the parking space was much appreciated.
