Hidden in glorious listed parkland, a mile from town, is romantic Llanerchydol Hall, with its gothic turrets and castellations. There are specimen trees here-Sequoias, Cedars, a Dawn Redwood and a Japanese Garden. Hear the steam train, hooting at Powis Castle. Walk Glyndwr’s Way. In the winter, it is the owl’s domain. There are spectacular night skies, unspoilt by pollution, and the Welsh mountains beckon. Relax here. Breathe in the calm and still. Embrace the architecture and romance.
The space
Majestic, historic, Grade II* mansion in a parkland setting.
Llanerchydol Hall was abandoned for decades, but we are restoring it to its former glory.
All suites are of a luxurious specification, but there may be evidence of restoration work elsewhere in the property that will not interfere with your enjoyment of the space.
Your stay at the hall enables us to continue with the restoration and is much appreciated, thank you.
We are a 20 minute walk to the Raven Inn.
A communal kitchen is available.

We made it in, after some experimenting! Our very big room was lovely and warm, had comfortable bed and couch bed, soft new carpet, and access to a huge and well-equipped bathroom. One thing to note - in the bathroom, the toilet is in full view of the alley into the bedroom, which does not have a door on it. OK if you are a couple, we are not, and we found it funny. However worth being aware, if that might put you off! There is a big TV which works. Kettle in the room with a selection of teas. Lots of wardrobe cupboards. We used the huge kitchen below to make our own breakfast - the hosts offer bookable continental breakfasts brought to guests' rooms. Kitchen very well equipped with most things. On leaving, the day revealed the most lovely open aspect and view to the east, from the front of the house. We didn't have time to talk much to the hosts, and they seemed very friendly. Would love to stay again, for longer. | |||

What a wonderful find - staying in a quirky stately home surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside. Lovely hosts who are doing up the place bit by bit (the parts that are let out are perfectly done up!) with an interesting philosophy on life. | |||

This dilapidated old manor house is being restored beautifully by Ben and his team. they are very nice welcoming people and are keen to show us around the property. This definitely has the feel of a bit of a Hidden gem, and a work in progress as some parts are still under construction. Also, the facilities are fantastic, there is a fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need, and even a beautiful orangery to eat dinner in. I would 100% stay here again in a heartbeat! thanks guys!! | |||

The room was lovely and far better than we imagined from what we had seen outside. Spacious, comfortable warm and well furnished with modern features. No keys to lock the door when you leave was a concern but a latch lock on the inside- could be an issue with kids locking themselves in. Friendly workers who could not do enough to help, this will be a superb property but for now it is a work in progress. Common areas are ok, but nothing special. Outstanding views, good location, happy for the price but look forward to see it finished | |||

Beautiful building oozing character. Beautiful surrounding, lovely walks on grounds, great for children to play and adventure. Absolutely gorgeous communal kitchen, orangery and living room - full of historical character. Extremely comfortable bed and duvet, modern bathroom made to antique character perfectly. Highly recommended. |
