At a glance
A peaceful and quiet location. We have self contained guest accommodation with private courtyard. It’s a 2 min walk to the beach, bus to Belfast is 5 min walk, Harbour 4 miles, Belfast City airport (7 miles), International Airport (16 miles). The Whitehouse’ visitor centre, Abbey centre a large shopping centre and a major Leisure Centre within 15 min walk.
The space
If you want to party all night this isn’t the place to book. The Pod, is warm, cozy, private and has everything you need including private parking. Tea, coffee available. Cereal and milk provided however there are lots of cafe, restaurants, shops locally within short walk. The location is excellent for travel and is just off the M5. Please read the house manual before booking to ensure that you are happy with the terms and conditions.

The Pod is self contained so this is fully yours. The sofa in the second room contains a comfy double bed. We can also provide a travel cot. There is a fridge and microwave available as well as kettle etc. If needed you can access laundry facilities by agreement.
Other things to note
Excellent costal walk within a three min walk and view the night lights of Belfast. If we are available we are happy to provide lifts into and out of Belfast. A Historical centre on the same street, there are two churches with less than two min walk St John’s, Church of Ireland and has one of the oldest working pipe organs in NI and St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Catholic Church which has amazing church bells that can be heard daily.

Very cosy facilities, comfortable bed and modern appliances with the added bonus of a swimspa, hot tub and smoke house. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive and went over an above to assist us when we had some personal issues arise. The space is small but comfortable - but important to note would only really suit a couple as there is no kitchen sink, small bathroom and small mini-fridge. Would highly recommend. | |||

I have never walked into such a dirty property, mold, dirt, shower was absolutely rotten, fridge very dirty with hair in it, tv was dirty, hot tub- lifted the lid and it was also rotten.. Hot tubs are very dangerous unless properly maintained and in no way with the state of the room, would I even put my hand in it. This property needs some serious deep cleaning, inside and out. Its in no way habitable, it was that bad, we left straight away and booked into Grand Central Hotel in Belfast. Luckily we had enough money to do this but in some cases, people are on a night away with a tight budget. I would have slept in car, just couldn't stay in the room. Thankfully got a refund as had several photos of how unclean the property was. After running Belfast marathon it was a real let down to a great day, thankfully hotel made up for it at a cost of £20 more than this property. | Dora | May 2024 | Your complaint wasn’t upheld we received full payment from Airbnb. Thankfully we video the property before guests arrive incase people decide to scam us. You were checked in for 18 hours and never once raised any issue with us despite my husband driving you to the marathon for 20 mins in the car. The hot tub is newly filled and cleaned for every guest who arrives. We went out of our way to assist yourselves, we are very sad that this was not afforded to us. I am also amazed that given the complaint was made to Airbnb at 1am that you were able to check into the Hotel at this time of night. Nothing in your approach followed Airbnb policy or rules but we know that they will give customers a refund from their insurance if the hosts are able to evidence the customer was malicious in their review. I am sad but wish you well. |
