Check in was rough, but not their fault, just make sure you have a charged mobile phone that can make international calls (if from the US like us..)
Laundry on the unit is great, but small and a bit slow.
the property and unit were pristine, and rich with history. Such a beautiful and peaceful getaway.
Hope to return some day.

The apartment was beautiful, well stocked in the kitchen, and we were greeted with milk in the fridge and everything needed for a cup of tea the instant we got in. It was a nice touch. Our two critiques were the beds that weren't very comfy, and the public - ness factor of the master bedroom. You can hear everything and it was hard to turn on lights/make noise in the morning while 2 people in our party slept in the Master bedroom. Beautiful space overall though.

We enjoyed the warm and never very busy pool three times as well! Terrific location in Fort Augustus. All good. Would return!

Our kids loved playing ping pong, skipping rocks in Loch Ness, watching boats go through the locks on the canal, riding bikes along the canal path, etc. In case it’s relevant to others… know that the master bedroom is in a lofted area above the living room. It gives you visual privacy, but there is nothing that blocks sound or light from downstairs. Worth knowing if not everyone in your party is on a similar sleep schedule.

They apologised and, when asked, proposed a 1% refund to compensate. There was only 1 tennis ball available so bring your own if you want to play. Too bad since the place is beautifulJoanneAugust 2024Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We have very little to say as we offered £25 compensation for a 30 minute delay for your check in. Both the property manager (on-site) and and myself the agent were both responsive. I wanted to thank the team for dealing with difficult customers in a professional manner and encourage guests to read all the lovely reviews about this property and all the great experiences people have enjoyed.
Andréa9 years on AirbnbNone4August 2024The accommodation is very atypical and surprising, we enjoyed the experience of staying in a chapel. The equipment is complete ( we enjoyed being able to do washing machines during our 15-day journey) .
The complex offers entertainment, gym, pool, billiards...
The accommodation is in a very good location.
On the other hand, we were disappointed not to be greeted by Joanna but by a third person. Joanna and her husband do not live there, too bad, it's a little impersonal, we thought we would arrive in a more intimate place but there are many, many accommodations.
Also to know that one of the bedrooms does not have a window, the place smells of humidity not to mention the crib that smelled a lot of humidity (difficult to ventilate there is only one window).
